2011: A Year of Action and Accomplishment for the Building Trades

broad_1In 2011, the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council worked with its local affiliates to create a home-grown economic stimulus. Combating record unemployment, the Council and its affiliates negotiated with state and local officials for historic Project Labor Agreements for billions of dollars in work. The Trades also teamed with private developers to streamline major projects such as Farmers Field. The Building Trades’ constant trips to Sacramento helped pass laws that will speed the way for decades of improvements in the future.
